Angelo Bonello is a multidisciplinary artist who, in more than 30 years of work, has created performances, large permanent shows, artworks and other projects, on 5 continents. A disruptive and outsized language is his unmistakable stylistic code, appreciated in the most prestigious contexts, from live entertainment to contemporary art and television. Theatre of his works, both temporary and permanent, have been the most important cities in the world. London, Toronto, Washington, Riyadh, Singapore, Amsterdam, Beijing, Mexico City, to name a few, and he’s worked in the more prestigious theatres such as La Scala in Milan and the Sydney Opera House. He has collaborated with and directed illustrious personalities, both Italian and international partners, such as Kelly Rowland, Holly Johnson, Kim Kardashian, Antonello Venditti, Riccardo Cocciante, Dario Fo, Gigi Proietti, Claudio Bisio, Michelangelo Pistoletto and many more.

Since 2014, he has been the artistic director of successful TV show like Italia's Got Talent, The Voice and Telethon. In 2023 he had the artistic direction of Bergamo and Brescia City of Culture 2023 and the open air exhibition "Light is Life”. In 2024 he wrote, as Artistic Director, the Winning show Proposal for the Closing Ceremony of Paralympic Games Milano Cortina 2026.

Renowned for his captivating spatial art, Angelo Bonello presents Tessellis, a mesmerising installation combining light and geometry to create a dynamic visual spectacle. Tessellis invites visitors to immerse themselves in its interplay of shifting patterns and reflections, crafted to evoke wonder and contemplation.

Eighteen luminous panels are illuminated with evocative colour shades of the animal kingdom, alternating between an abstract and a figurative language, in an unstoppable alternation of metamorphosis and transmutation that serves as a metaphor for the entire natural system.

This vertical installation is an ode to connectivity, drawing from Bonello's signature style of engaging audiences in interactive, transformative experience’s. Tessellis is a map for night flights, an ode to the starry sky, a bright and hopeful message to build a new humanity together. Positioned as a central focal point, Tessellis blends harmoniously with the architectural grandeur of Westfield London, enriching the cultural tapestry of the Space. Tessellis has never been exhibited in the UK before.

What is one thing you wish you had more time to do? I wish I had more time to do the things I love the most, such as creating art and spending time with my family.

What place, even if you don’t live there now, has always felt like your home? Spain has always felt like home to me. I lived there for many years, and even though I don’t live there now, it will always hold a special place in my heart.

What’s your favourite thing about winter in London? My favourite thing about winter in London is the magical atmosphere created by festive lights across the city.

Best winter purchase this season? My best winter purchase this season is a new climbing equipment that I used all winter on Gran Sasso.
