Time: 4-10PM
Where: Westfield London, W12
Located at Westfield Square

Adam Povey has worked in lighting for almost 20 years now, and been lucky enough to work on everything from designing West End shows to Secret Cinema, from immersive events such as Task Master Live to outdoor trails such as Christmas at Kew Gardens and Harry Potter - A Forbidden Forest experience

In 2023 APL designed an installation for Luminate Sandrigham with a fixture that could be utilised in multiple formats, from an end-on show in different configurations, to an in the round piece or a walk-through installation. Due to seeing so much waste on projects with items being used once and then disposed of that it was important to them to create something that could be reused in unique ways. Re-utilising 3600 individually controlled colour changing Cabochons and 40 x 3m high 3 sided totem poles the whole Installation has a low power draw of around 5kw and is programmed and played back to a custom soundtrack by Clay Productions

For Westfield London APL have redesigned and delivered the concept for a walk through and up close lighting experience where the view, feel and aspect will change as you look from afar, on different sides, or wander through the middle.

The piece is titled Shifting Visions because as you move through and look at it from different angles your perspective and view changes, along with the reflections. The piece expresses that no matter at what stage in your life you are, you can look at the same object from different angles and see and experience something different and unique.

Shifting Visions takes on a completely different feel between daytime and as darkness falls.
