Nagoya Day 2024 invites you to learn more about Nagoya, Japan, the first sister city of Los Angeles, now in its 65th year. Nagoya is located in central Japan and historically was the capital of Japan for over 250 years and the home of samurai culture.

The event will showcase exciting tourist destinations in Nagoya and surrounding areas, offer performances on stage, including a Taiko drum performance, Japanese calligraphy and traditional dance performances, a cosplay review (Nagoya is the home of the World Cosplay Summit), and at 2 p.m. a live samurai action drama: Save the Princess. Explore Japan’s super express bullet train, whose home is in Nagoya. You can dress up in traditional Japanese costumes, taste special Nagoya foods, enjoy a tea ceremony, and try your hand at calligraphy and origami.
