Fashion 31 January, 2021
Welcome to February, a month where the calendar is a meme-friendly rectangle, the days seem to stretch on forever, and we want our outfits to do the same. Activewear and loungewear essentials are now-familiar faces in our day-to-day line-ups, but just because we’re dialling up the comfort doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice on style.
All it takes is a little cohesion: think a base palette of camel, grey marl and winter white, with splashes of print and colour to add interest. Layering is also key — squeezing in an impromptu workout is so much easier when it’s simply a matter of whipping off the cosy tracksuit that’s covering up shorts and a sports bra.
And finally, don’t be afraid to go a bit matchy-matchy. A head-to-toe cashmere tracksuit is the unassuming power couple of the moment, and the retro-tinged twinset has been reinvented in never-want-to-take-them-off knits.
