About the event

This Earth Day, celebrate the spirit of circularity and sustainable consumption with the introduction of The Good Loop pop-up clothing swap April 24-27, open 11 AM-7 PM daily, in partnership with Westfield UTC’s Good Festival

For the first time, San Diegan and philanthropist Makenzie Lowe, founder of The Good Loop, will bring her inclusive approach to sustainable fashion into a reimagined brick and mortar retail space located across from True Food Kitchen and next to Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. Here, the community can come together to embrace an eco-conscious approach to shopping and help close the clothing loop.

HOW TO SWAP:

  1. Register for the event. Event is free to attend, but registration is required to participate.
  2. Please BRING NO MORE THAN 5 pieces of gently loved clothing items. Shoes, clothing, bags included! Men's, women's, and unisex styles are welcome. Adult sizes only. (What not to bring: swimwear, jewelry, undergarments, or children’s clothing.)
  3. Check in upon arrival at The Good Loop pop-up shop. We will inventory your items so we can calculate how many pieces we swap throughout the event.
  4. We’ll hang your items, and you’ll shop the racks for new-to-you finds! Please only take as many items as you brought to the swap.
  5. During the 1-hour window, make friends and chat about sustainable fashion, while enjoying surprise treats and brand appearances!

While tickets are free, a minimum $5 donation is encouraged to support the Surfrider Foundation San Diego County, a non-profit environmental organization that is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's ocean, waves, and beaches for all people.

The Good Loop will be open 11 AM-7 PM daily April 24-27, with an exciting lineup of brand appearances and special offerings across the four days!

Special thanks to the following retailers for curating memorable experiences: Room & Board, Saje, Reformation, Sip Fresh and many more!
