Whether bowling, canoeing or artistic gymnastics: tens of thousands of people are organised in sports clubs in our region. Across disciplines and age groups, sport brings together members young and old, big and small. Sports clubs are therefore an indispensable part of social life.

Unfortunately, however, many clubs are strapped for cash. There is a lack of money for jerseys, a fresh coat of paint for the clubhouse or transport to the next away game. We want to do something about this this spring and are organising the TEAMCASH Challenge! Your sports club has the chance to win up to 2,500 euros.

Here's how it works:

  • Film a short, entertaining video (preferably in 9:16 portrait format and no longer than 90 seconds).
  • In the video, you show us in a creative way what you would use the donation for and why your sports club deserves it.
  • Publish the video as a reel on your sports club's Instagram channel or on the profile of a club member. Please note: The profile must be public so that we can see your posts!- Invite Westfield Centro (@centrooberhausen) as co-author.
  • All sports clubs can take part. The only requirement: Your club should be active in the Ruhr area (Wesel district, Recklinghausen district, Bottrop, Oberhausen, Duisburg, Mülheim a.d. R., Essen, Bochum, Gelsenkirchen, Herne, Dortmund, Ennepe-Ruhr district, Hagen, Unna district, Hamm).

Closing date for entries: 06 April 2025

After the closing date, a jury of Westfield Centre representatives will select four sports clubs to go through to the final. As soon as the finalists have been determined, their co-author request will be accepted.

Now it's time for the final phase.

FINAL VOTING

From 14 to 20 April 2025, you can vote for your favourite clubs in an Instagram poll.

The first-placed club can look forward to a donation of 2,500 euros. Second place will receive 1,000 euros and third place 500 euros.

If this grant would be good for your club's coffers, upload your videos to Instagram from 10 March to 6 April - and don't forget to tag the Westfield Centro and mark it as a co-author.
