Q:  What is the overall economic impact of the redevelopment to Westfield Valencia Town Center?

A:

  • Approximately $1.0 million annual sales tax revenue annually to the city after completion and stabilization. 
  • Provide new construction and retail jobs to the local economy.
  • Currently provide 600 jobs in the community
  • 500 new construction jobs estimated
  • 500 full and part time retail jobs will be created

 

Q:  How do you think the construction will affect traffic and sales at Westfield Valencia Town Center?

A: During construction, we anticipate both traffic and sales to continue to be strong at Westfield Valencia Town Center.  The center will operate during normal/regular hours all during construction, but we will also (naturally) have special traffic management, as well as employee parking programs in place year-round, including the holiday season to insure a great customer experience at the center at all times.

 

Q:  How many new parking spaces will be added to the Westfield Valencia Town Center?

A: Westfield Valencia Town Center currently provides ample available parking, including the Macy’s parking structure and valet service.  We will be adding approximately 700 additional parking spaces. 

 

Q:  When will The Patio’s at Westfield Valencia Town Center be complete and how much is the investment?

A: The project broke ground on January 19th, 2008 and will open in Fall 2009.  The center will operate during normal/regular hours all during construction. The Patios at Westfield Valencia Town Center is a multi-million dollar investment.

 

Q:  Will there be any non-retail components like many other developments (e.g. hotel, residential, office)?

A: An exceptional retail shopping experience is the focus for The Patio’s at Westfield Valencia Town Center.

 

Q:  Who is coming to The Patio’s at Westfield Valencia Town Center?

A: At this point, we are not in a position to announce any retailers or who we are in negotiation with, but we are committed to bringing new world-class retailers to Westfield Valencia Town Center that will compliment our existing retail mix.
