WFamily Harvest Festival
Saturday, October 24 – 10am – 5pm
Sunday, October 25 – 11am – 5pm
Located on the north end of the center from Bloomingdales to the L.L. Bean/Crate & Barrel Plaza.
The colorful harvest is here, brimming with the bountiful yields of the growing season and ushering in the traditions of fall. Families are invited to celebrate the season at a free WFamily Harvest Festival.
Kids Activities
There will be plenty of fun for the kids including carnival rides and a giant, sixty foot maze created out of corn stalks and hay. Children will enjoy the WFamily arts and crafts tent featuring fall crafts courtesy of Kohl’s Children’s Museum, the Skokie Public Library and Gymboree Play & Music. The fun will continue with face painters, balloon sculptors, sampling, children’s entertainment and much more.
Pumpkin Fun
Specialty crafts people will offer hand made wares such as soaps, lotions, candles and farm-fresh produce from area growers. A colorful pumpkin patch, chock-full of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes available for purchase, is the perfect place for kids to pick out their Jack-O-Lantern. And there’s more. The local Kiwanis Club of Skokie Valley is hosting a giant inflatable pumpkin for children to enjoy.
Enjoy the incredible talent of Lacey Bade, pumpkin-carver extraordinaire. Her original creations, delicately hand carved into the gourds, include intricate depictions of witches, ghosts, goblins and more. These very special pieces will be available through a silent auction which will benefit the Kiwanis Club of Skokie Valley.
