Summer Concert Series
Sundays are about to become the highlight of the week with the return of a series of free concerts by the Evanston Symphony Orchestra at Westfield Old Orchard. The concerts will consist of two 45-minute sets and take place on Sundays from 2-4pm at the north end of the center.
Make a day of it and arrive early to enjoy a pre-concert meal at one of Old Orchard’s popular restaurants. Next, enjoy an engaging performance by some of the region’s finest musicians. To complete the day, stroll through the beautiful grounds and discover the area’s best shopping.

Sunday, June 28 - Evanston Symphony Orchestra
Enjoy traditional Fourth of July favorites, including Tchaikovsky's rousing 1812 Overture. Harry Porterfield from ABC's Channel 7 news will join the orchestra to narrate Lincoln's words in Aaron Copland's famous Lincoln Portrait. Tap your toes while the orchestra plays your favorite tunes from Mary Poppins and cheer for Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever. This is a must see performance featuring the entire 75+ member orchestra.

Led by Music Director Lawrence Eckerling and members of the Evanston Symphony Orchestra, the program includes music of jazz greats Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and numerous others.
Sunday, July 19 - Peter Oprisko’s Forever Frank
Often called "the American Michael Buble," Chicago's Singing Sensation Peter Oprisko and his pop-jazz quartet bring the music of Frank Sinatra to life.
Sunday, July 26 - Larry Eckerling & His Orchestra
Hits of the 50s through today will be performed, including the sounds of greats such as Aretha Franklin, Earth Wind and Fire, Michael Jackson, Barry White, Donna Summer, Gladys Knight and numerous others.

In the case of rain, the scheduled performance will be held at 6:30 pm on the Monday following the scheduled Sunday afternoon concert.
