On June 5th, Westfield Old Orchard hosted a Garden Party where guests enjoyed wine and cheese tastings, melodies by the Evanston Symphony Orchestra, fashion and exciting new retail announcements.

The night was special for a number of reasons, the first of which was to support a world class health care facility, the Paul V. Galvin Heart Center at Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston. Through a partnership with the hospital and the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago, Westfield presented six original couture gowns available through silent auction. The gowns were created by fashion design students at the school who took part in a special projects class sponsored by Westfield Old Orchard.

Silent auction items were also donated by Olsen Europe, lucy, L’Occitane, Gymboree Play & Music and the English Garden.  The total silent auction raised $1,160. The $1,000 donation from Westfield combined with the silent auction proceeds, raised a total of $2,160 for the Saint Francis Heart Center!

That evening guests were also treated to exciting new retail announcements including the announcement of Chicago’s first Zara, an international fashion retailer renowned for current designs at amazing prices, opening this fall. This two level store, located next to Ann Taylor Loft, will offer over 22,700 square feet of fashions for men and women. 

Westfield would like to extend a special thanks to Restoration Hardware which provided the amazing décor for the evening, including pieces from their outdoor collection.  Also, Westfield would like to thank Olsen Europe, lucy, L’Occitane, Oil and Vinegar, Godiva, Gymboree Play & Music and the English Garden for taking part in the event.
