Why Walk in the Mall?
One of the best ways to stay in shape is walking. There is no expensive equipment required, only a good pair of shoes. The bright, airy atmosphere of Westfield Gateway offers you a comfortable and safe environment to exercise in year-round. The walking route is large enough that it doesn’t become tedious, but small enough to not be intimidating. Walking through the mall in a group atmosphere keeps you inspired and more likely to stay committed to your exercise program.
Program Benefits
Westfield Gateway is partnering with the Nebraska Heart Institute to provide blood pressure screenings every week of the month.
From 8:00am-10:00am, the second and fourth Thursday of every month, the Nebraska Heart Institute will provide free blood pressure screenings. Additionally, each Thursday of the month, area agencies will provide healthcare screenings.
At 9:30am, the second Thursday of every month, a healthcare professional from the Nebraska Heart Institute will hold an “Ask the Expert” seminar in the food court area. Each session will cover a cardiac-related topic – from fitness and nutrition, to heart disease prevention and treatment.
