Have their been any changes to the Distribution Reinvestment Plan (DRP)?
 

An ASX announcement was released on the 23rd December 2008 regarding the amendments to the Distribution Reinvestment Plan.

What was the Stapling distribution?
 

The Stapling distribution was a non-cash distribution paid by Westfield Holdings, Westfield Trust and Westfield America Trust in July 2004 to facilitate the Westfield
Group Merger.

What is the forecast distribution for the Westfield Group?
 

Distribution per security for 2009 expected to be in the range of 94 cents and 97 cents per security.

When is the next distribution to be paid?
 

Distributions are paid twice yearly at the end of February and August.

What was the last Westfield Group distribution amount per Stapled Security?
 

The Westfield Group distribution with a payment date 27 February 2009 was 53.25 cents per Stapled Security.

What was the last DRP price and how was this calculated?
 

The DRP price was $10.04 and the DRP participation rate for the distribution payment made on 27 February 2009 was 28.34%. The DRP price is calculated using the arithmetic average of the daily volume weighted average sale price of Stapled Securities traded on ASX during a period of ten consecutive Trading Days as determined by the Administrators in respect of a Distribution and notified to Securityholders.

There was no DRP for the August 2008 distribution.

The DRP rules have been amended as follows:

  • The pricing period for setting the DRP price has been extended to 10 consecutive trading days (previously 5 trading days) as determined by the Board and the pricing methodology adjusted to a simple arithmetic mean calculation.
  • To allow for on-line applications to participate in the DRP.
  • To permit future changes to the DRP rules to be notified to members by way of announcement to the ASX.
